
On 19 November 2025, Reece Kurta, MNZCC Chairman, had the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders from Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) and the Immigration Department of Malaysia during the Residence Pass–Talent (RP-T) Engagement Session. This insightful session brought together Malaysia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and government representatives to discuss the facilitation of RP-T holders, updates on immigration policies and ways to strengthen Malaysia’s talent ecosystem.

The event began with welcome remarks by Edward Ling, Group CEO of TalentCorp, followed by officiating remarks from YBhg. Dato’ Aminudin Bin Yahaya, Deputy Director General (Control) of the Immigration Department. Participants were briefed on the latest updates to the RP-T programme, policy improvements, and enhancements to administrative processes. This was followed by presentations from TalentCorp and the Immigration Department, along with in-depth discussions on challenges, implementation, and future improvements.

During the session, Reece Kurta had the opportunity to engage directly with key leaders, including Wan Mohammed Saupee Bin Wan Yusoff, Director of Immigration; Kasthuri Bai Kasthuri, Deputy Assistant Director (Senior) of the Immigration Department; and Syaheeda Hasbullah, Vice President of RP-T at TalentCorp, among other senior TalentCorp officials.

The session provided a platform for direct dialogue, sharing feedback and fostering collaboration to continuously improve Malaysia’s RP-T programme reinforcing the nation’s position as a hub for global talent and investment.
